Madrid, Mar 20 (Prensa Latina) The Rebelion on line daily
Thursday urged Spanish President Jose Luis Rodriguez
Zapatero to support the release of five Cuban anti terrorist
fighters imprisoned in the United States.
The
appeal is included in a note entitled Imaginary Letter to
the Wife of One of the Five Cubans Imprisoned in the US by
Rodriguez Zapatero.
The
text, signed by journalist Pascual Serrano, refers to a
letter sent by the head of the Spanish government to the
wife of a Cuban counter revolutionary imprisoned on the
island after being tried, saying that he will do his best to
get the prisoner released.
That
message of Zapatero coincided with a similar letter sent by
US President George W. Bush to the same woman, in which he
extols the so-called Ladies in White, formed by the wives
and mothers of various tried and convicted criminals in
Cuba.
The
imaginary letter expresses sadness because none of the wives
of the Cuban antiterrorist fighters, known as the five, has
received from the above officials any message of solidarity
for Gerardo Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero, Rene Gonzalez,
Fernando Gonzalez and Ramon Labanino
